HOLLYWOOD STYLE WITH SHALEENA BAIN

Shaleena Bain, a Gold Coast entertainer, model and performer. Together we shot a number of portraits at the Old Museum in Bowen Hills Brisbane Queensland. Built around the 1920s, was the perfect location for our styled shoot.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Shaleena on such a fun and creative shoot. Looking forward to working with her again soon…

  • Manfrotto 420B, Godox ML60 LED x2, inexpensive light stand (for the soft box),
Godox Beauty Dish 54cm Silver with Bowens mount (silver for higher
contrast, white for less) with grid, S2 Bracket (for Bowens mount adaption),
    inexpensive rectangular soft box, Kodak Tri-x 400, Canon A1, Canon 50mm f/1.4.
  • 2 light setup, ideally suited for flexibility when on location. More
than 3 lights might be a stretch.

FASHION SHOOT - KRISTIN MILLAR

On location in Teneriffe, Brisbane Queensland with Kristin Millar (styling, hair and makeup). Together, a great result!

Kristin is professional, punctual and a friendly personality, well-experienced in photographic modelling. I could not recommend her enough. Arriving early (coming from the Gold Coast to Brisbane) and with great enthusiasm. She takes directions well, has a great understanding of posing, which made all very easy working with her and to create a wonderful set of portraits. ☆☆☆☆☆

Use of a mixture of both sunlight and LED (portable) light to create some amazing portraits. A little wind also helps too :)

Soft greys on Tri-x 400. Frosted windows in the background reacting to the fill light to add some slight background textural interest.

More soft greys on Tri-x 400 with frosted (reflective) background textural interest. I do love a good reflection photos.
